Brom/McCaig Workshop - Day #3

We have come to the final day of our workshop at Arts Umbrella, in the lovely Country Village...

In less than 24 hours, each member of the class had to have multiple key frames fleshed out enough to convey the story elements therein. (This, being a group of already quite accomplished artists, was fabulously accomplished with time to spare!)

We then were treated to an afternoon of Brom (see the previous post) -

While our scanned images were compiled and put to music, and we got to watch our completed 'story reel' of our tale. :-)

(my quickly penciled sketches - it's a bit hard to draw and 'administrate' at the same time... Most every one else's were *awesome*). We critiqued and it will be tightened and revised and we'll have a chance to make pretty pretty more finished pictures to be put in a more finessed reel by the end of the year. I'll post it here when it's finished. :-)

There was then chatting, and portfolio reviews...

-and the getting of things signed by our superstars...

...and lots of picture taking of our big happy group. :-)

Then a big farewell dinner at the Village's (yummy) Italian place...

 Lots of farewell bonding...

Final, farewell words of wisdom from our visiting gurus...

So much fun - such a great time. Thanks to everyone for making it a great weekend!

Thanks again for all the awesome logistical work you did! It wouldn't have been anything without it. And thanks to Michelle as well!
